“My grandson’s crown reminded me: no hair is too difficult.”
“Every barber remembers their first client — mine was extra special because it was my grandson. His curls reminded me why I started this journey: to make sure every person with textured, curly, and Afro hair feels cared for, respected, and celebrated.

Afro and curly hair require patience, knowledge, and gentle handling. Too often, this type of hair is called ‘difficult.’ At Grannies Joint, we say: no hair is too difficult — every strand tells a story.

Working on my grandson was more than a haircut. It was passing down legacy, teaching him pride in his natural texture, and showing him that his crown is beautiful exactly as it grows.

From detangling and moisturizing, to shaping and styling, I made sure he felt comfortable, confident, and proud. That moment marked the beginning of my mission: to create a mobile space where all families — children, elders, and everyone in between — know their hair will be treated with dignity.”

“This page represents more than a service — it represents love, legacy, and the heart of Grannies Joint. Afro hair care is not just about technique, it’s about honoring culture, identity, and community.”
