In barber school, I learned one of the most valuable lessons: no two heads of hair are the same. While working with one of my classmates, I reached for gel when it wasn’t the right choice. Her hair reacted differently than I expected, and at first, I felt frustrated. But instead of giving up, I paid attention to what her curls were telling me. Every head of hair deserves its own care plan, and every mistake is just a step toward understanding.
